Overview of the University

University of AlDhaid was established in 2024 through a royal decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council, ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, and president of the university. The university is a non-profit educational institution that strives to utilize the latest educational methods and scientific research to serve the community.

Following his directives, the Sharjah University branch in Dhaid was transformed into an independent university under the name 'Dhaid University.' This decision represents a turning point in the educational trajectory of Dhaid, aiming to fulfill the aspirations and ambitions of the sons and daughters of our beloved nation.

Since its establishment, the university has received substantial support and generosity from His Highness, providing opportunities for growth and development. The university began by establishing the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Agriculture and then developed new programs to meet the growing needs of the region in the future, in addition to providing a range of undergraduate and graduate programs that are accredited and of high quality, keeping pace with the changing times. The programs vary among the College of Arts, Information Technology, Law, Business School, and Communication.

AlDhaid University aims to be a beacon of knowledge through its diverse programs and its experienced administrative and teaching staff, to expand its programs to meet the community's growing needs in the future. The university will particularly focus on specializations in agriculture and veterinary medicine. Moreover, Dhaid University provides all the advanced facilities to serve its enrolled students and meet the local community's needs. The campus is distinguished by buildings constructed according to the most beautiful architectural designs and includes a library, advanced lecture halls, and general and specialized laboratories for agriculture and veterinary medicine. The lounges represent forums for engaging in various activities on campus."
