His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi is a member of the Supreme Council of the Union, the Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, and the President of University of Al Dhaid. He holds two PhD degrees, the first in History from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, and the second in Political Geography from Durham University in the United Kingdom, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Cairo University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He also holds 15 honorary doctorate degrees from renowned universities around the world and is also an honorary member of various well-known international organizations.
