The College of Agriculture at the University of Al Dhaid invites qualified candidates from the academic ranks Assistant/ Associate/ Professor to apply for a faculty position in the discipline of Agricultural Technology/Engineering. Sustainable Agriculture in the UAE relies on technological innovation and informed decision making underpinned by technology.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality education and practical knowledge at undergraduate level in agricultural technologies related areas.
• Provide subject-matter expertise, facilitate learning through innovative teaching methods, and assess student performance to ensure the attainment of learning outcomes.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes academic excellence in the field of agricultural technology and data analysis.
• Empower students with the essential skills and knowledge to collaborate with industry and provide expert information to the agricultural industry.
• Provide academic counselling and support to students.
• Supervise student research and projects.
• Undertake and publish research in quality peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop collaborations with national and international academics, research groups, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with industry on research projects and student training.
• Engage in appropriate activities to attract external research grant funding.
• Undertake other assigned administrative tasks by the program/department, college, and university.
• Complete any other job-related tasks as assigned by line manager within the expected time limit.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or an equivalent qualification in Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering or related field from a reputable and internationally recognized University.
• Minimum three years’ teaching experience in agricultural technology and innovation at undergraduate level.
• Strong record of accomplishment of research publications in refereed scholarly international journals with good impact factors.
• Experience in supervising, Master and/or PhD Theses/Dissertations.
• Interest and experience in bridging links with industry and the community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a group.
• Leadership potential.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
